Who is Omena
Omena is a seal point Thai cat with stunning deep blue eyes and a peaceful, expressive nature. Thai cats, also known as traditional or apple-head Siamese, are the original form of the Siamese breed. They are known for their rounded features, moderate build, and gentle elegance.
These cats have a long and noble history. Originating in Thailand, once known as Siam, they were revered in royal courts and temples. Their beauty and mystique are recorded in ancient manuscripts like the Tamra Maew, and they were among the very first cats shown at formal cat shows in the 19th century.
As the breed developed, two distinct forms emerged. The modern Siamese became longer and more angular, while the original type remained true to its roots. Today, this more natural and balanced form is recognized as the Thai cat, a breed in its own right. Omena is a perfect example of this elegant and expressive breed, full of charm and never short of words. She even talks in her sleep! And now, she is also the chatty guardian of inKOTgnito, a small store with a big heart.
