Feeding cats the kind of food they would eat in the wild helps keep them healthier and can prevent premature illness or death
When in the wild, cats living on all continents on which they have evolved, exclusively eat meat. They are predators (and can be prey) and hunt animals from frogs to zebras for nourishment. Their bodies have evolved to digest meat and are able to extract all necessary nutrients from this food source. It follows that domesticated cats should also only eat meat.
Unfortunately, production processes and cost considerations have resulted in many cat food manufacturers adding vegetables or grains to their cat food. These additional ingredients can place additional digestive strain on domestic cats and can lead to a range of health issues from diabetes to kidney disease.
3coty® has developed a range of 100% meat-based cat foods which are designed to closely resemble the kind of nutrition cats would get when living in the wild. It is balanced for meat, innards and bone content, all of which occur in the natural diet of undomesticated cats. No flavour enhancers are needed as the ingredients match those a cat would have found in nature. The gentle preservation mechanism means that without adding any preservatives to the food, it has a shelf life of 24 months after the production date.
Within the range of 100% natural wet cat food 3coty® has a number of mono-protein varieties enabling owners of cats suffering from food allergies to isolate and identify the allergen. A frequent allergen, fish and fish oil, is not present in any 3coty® product. Omega fatty acids are derived either from the fresh meat itself or from natural organic plant oils. The only other added ingredient is taurine, a vital amino acid which is found in high a concentration in mice. The range of EU-certified organic meats available to buy does not include mice, hence the need to add taurine to 3coty® cat food.
Easier to manage than a BARF diet, the 3coty® range of foods gives owners the confidence that they are not unintentionally feeding their cats food which could give them health issues.

On rare occasions, bone waste arises, which is disposed of in an organic biomass plant.
