Where we use machines in our business – and more importantly, where we don’t
Machines have been part of human life for hundreds of years. Technology developments mean that machines are now in more and more places and they make our lives easier. They also make our lives with cats easier – just think of the development from manual can-openers to be used on thick metal tins, to electric can openers, to the environmentally friendly thin tins with pull tabs we use for 3coty® natural wet cat food.
We use machines in our manufacturing process, that way we can make regular batches of food of the same consistency and content. But, like spooning the food out of the opened tin, the last steps in our factory are done by human hands. Each tin is checked and labelled by a person and your orders are also put into boxes by the people on our team.
Some machines are less physical, who has not yet heard of ChatGPT? You will be pleased to know that all of our text is crafted by our dedicated copywriter. She writes all our texts in English, ready for publication and translation. For our key customer markets, we have human translators. Because we sell in so many countries, we have also invested in tailored machine translation tools. We have our own dictionaries in these tools and customise them to suit our style. And we always ask a human to review the translation before publishing.
It is important to us that the answers and information you receive are based on human understanding and research. This is also why we have chosen not to use a Chatbot for our website chat functionality. We know that means you may not get an instant answer. We believe that a correct and appropriate answer is better than some programmed texts, even if it is given during the daytime hours of Central European Time.
